I have been thinking of how best to do it, to make record of my favorite all time songs and why, or what was going on, or how I felt or something. Especially since I lived though the summer of love and all that.
Sometimes, like tonight, I feel moved to jump in there, and start with whatever is on my mind, but then I want to describe each and every moment and song in the correct order. And I don't think I have as good a memory as I think I do. I get things out of order.
But let me list the Pandora playlist that I got tonight after typing in Peter and Gordon. First it gave me some real strange singers that didn't sound like P&G at all. So then I put in Chad and Jeremy.
Willow Weep for Me
Groovy Kind of Love
Ferry Cross the Mersey
Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter
September in the Rain
Can't get Over Losing You
Here Comes the Sun
This Magic Moment
Can't You Hear My Heart Beat
I Wannna Hold Your Hand
Everyone's Gone to the Moon
True Love Ways
Crying
The Air That I Breathe
How Do You Do What You Do
It was a Very Good Year
A World Without Love
Jennifer Juniper
Tired of Waiting For You
She Loves You
My Darling Be Home Soon
Monday, Monday
The Dangling Conversation
Ticket to Ride
Wear Your Love Like Heaven
I'll Have to Say I Love You in a Song
and the hits just keep on coming!!
every one of those songs hold significant meaning for me. Oh where to start?
How about the Lovin' Spoonful?
Come and talk of all the things we did today
Hear and laugh about our funny little ways
While we have a few minutes to breathe
And I know that it's time you must leave
But darling be home soon
I couldn't bear to wait an extra minute if you dawdle
My darling be home soon
It's not just these few hours
But I've been waiting since I've toddled
For the great relief of having you to talk to
And now a quarter of my life is almost passed
I think I've come to see myself at last
And I see that the time spent confused
Is the time that I spent without you
And I feel myself in bloom
Darling be home soon
I couldn't bear to wait an extra minute if you dawdle
My darling be home soon
It's not just these few hours
But I've been waiting since I've toddled
For the great relief of having you to talk to
So darling, my darling, be home soon
I couldn't bear to wait an extra minute if you dawdle
My darling, be home soon
It's not just these few hours
But I've been waiting since I've toddled
For the great relief of having you to talk to
So go and beat your crazy head against the sky
Try and see beyond the houses in your eyes
It's okay to shoot the moon
Darling be home soon
I couldn't bear to wait an extra minute if you dawdle
My darling be home soon
It's not just these few hours
But I've been waiting since I've toddled
For the great relief of having you to talk to.
